This is one of my favourite parts of the entire process because we get to sit down, drink coffee and put ideas down on paper! A professional video needs a plan in place  before the camera equipment comes out. We both discuss how the video will look, feel, and sound. We discuss the script, the shot list, locations, equipment needs, actors or participants, etc. 

We draft this during our meet up! The script is the tried and true method of delivering your message as efficiently and effectively as possible. This is usually broken down into 4 parts: the hook, the introduction, the body of the video and the closing call to action. 

I will set up my camera equipment, setup the lights, audio recording, direct the participants, and of course I’ll get that sweet b-roll footage that brings that cinematic feel to your video. 

Maybe you own a horseback riding company and you want epic drone shots of a trail ride or you do events and you want sweet slow motion action shots, or maybe you have a sea-do rental company and you need waterproof film equipment, or you want buttery smooth real estate footage shot on a 3 axis gimble, no problem! 

Once filming is completed, the post-production process begins. This is actually one of the most involved parts of the video production process and typically includes sorting, editing, sound design, colour correction, colour grading, special effects, graphics etc.  

Editing your footage together is a very important step. First, all of the footage needs to be imported, sorted and labeled so that it can be easily accessed. Then, numerous cuts will have to be made before a final cut can be decided on. This is about making sure all of the footage works well together, it has a good flow and maintains the storyline.

Sound design and mixing is an important part of this stage. Many of the sound effects you hear in commercial videos and Hollywood movies are created from scratch to give depth, emphasis, emotion or atmosphere, to the video. Great sound is essential to a great production because if you think about it, it’s half of the viewing experience! 

Then there are special effects, graphics, and colour balancing and colour grading and after all this the final cut will be available for you to look at.

After all of the work is done in post, I will send you the final cut for review! This is when you get to see the video for the first time! Here you are allowed to make requests for any changes and depending on the changes you are allowed up to two revisions. Then the finished product will be available for you to download via Dropbox! From here you can use it on your website, social media, and advertising campaigns!
